“Nimekuwa Nikikula Iyo GMO Umeona Nikimea Matiti?”, Ruto’s Remarks Causes Reactions

William Ruto’s statement on GMO on January 4, 2022 has produced numerous reactions.

Ruto in his address to the Media, declared his support on The Genetically Modified Organisms which the government intends to import.

“Mimi nimekuwa nkikula hizo GMO, mmeona nimemea Matiti?,” Ruto asked one of the Journalists who demanded him to verify whether the GMO Food would be dangerous for human consumption.

However, the president explained that Kenyans have been eating GMOs and therefore the food will not be different from what they have been consuming.
