Clarissa’s Letter To Mukami
The author’s letter on Tuesday, September 23 was clear about his opinion towards Mukami’s move.
“Dear Mwaniki Esther Mukami. Now without ill feelings,
I knew you in Dubai.
You called out bad leadership properly and squarely. I was at home while doing the same.
Actually we are the pioneers of whistle blowing and online activism. You came back. We met the first day at Wakagoto Eagle One. Still we agitated for people’s rights. You kept drumming up support for Lenny Kivuti. One day we met with Lenny at Izaak Walton. You made the meeting possible. LK told me that I am the best writer from this place and he has been following my events even Book Launch at Izaak Walton. You started your Woman Rep mission and started building a house for a certain family. But , respectfully, you started praising a fish for swimming -Health Docket. I sensed some danger. When you organized a big event at Gatunduri , I attended. The way Lenny’s wife graced the event and overall prayers for you, I saw total dedication. While I might not know the political dynamics and what transpired, I know there are many hypocritical moral brokers in Embu and sharks. Be careful my sister. I remember when you spoke at The cemetery full of papers at Gatondo when one of the protesters was felled by the police. Clearly, there are existential issues that have happened that don’t sit well with any right thinking citizen. All politics is local but I smell a big rat. All in all bread eaten in slavery is worse than hunger in freedom . But I respect your decision,” wrote Saleh.
