Oburu Odinga Flies To Dubai Amid Political Incessancy

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader, Oburu Odinga, has taken a short “sabbatical break” from Kenyan politics, his sister Ruth Odinga announced on Saturday morning.

Ruth confirmed that the ODM party leader had jetted out of the country to recharge after weeks of heated politics.

The Siaya Senator, according to Ruth,  had travelled to Dubai for a three-day trip to rest following a hectic political schedule that saw him preside over the party’s 20th Anniversary.

“ODM Party Leader Oburu Oginga has travelled to Dubai For A three-day visit to rest following a hectic political period,”  announced Ruth.

An X account associated with the ODM party leader also announced that the latter had taken a short political break to recollect, recharge, and reset.

The post, which was subsequently reposted by Oburu’s son, Jaoko Oburu Odinga, read, “Feeling grateful for good health and high spirits. Taking a short sabbatical to recollect, recharge, and reset.”

His trip to Dubai comes amidst a tense moment for the ODM party, which has in recent weeks experinced internal wrangles among leaders over the party’s political position.

Oburu’s trip to Dubai is his first ever out of the country since his late brother Raila Odinga’s untimely death on October 15, this year.
