Residents of Kithimu ward, Embu welcomed Governor Cecily Mbarire at Kithimu Primary School in an event which was primarily dubbed a “public participation Forum” on Friday.
The Governor, who came with several county government officers, said that the event was main agenda for the event was to discuss the planned tarmacking of Kivwe-Kithimu-Ena Road.

All leaders who made speaches appeared to support the “Tutam” movement aligned to the current regime supporters.
Kithimu Road Tarmacking
Cecily Mbarire said that the said road was on the final stages of preparations for tarmacking, and that the groundbreaking for the construction will be graced by President William Ruto or Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.

A contractor was also in attendance’ whom Cecily Introduced to the crowd.
The contractor said that he would start working on the road soon.
Maize Seeds
Mbarire further launched maize seeds which were given to residents for the season’s planting.

She stated that the project was the county Government’s agenda to strengthen food security.

Also in attendance were; Senator Mundigi, Mp Wamuthende, Women Rep Pamela Njoki, MCA Njagi Karuri among others.
