A youthful man, who admitted of participating in Tuesday’s demonstrations in Ishiara, Mbeere North constituency, says he was nearly shot dead.

The locals were demonstrating against the deplorable state of Ishiara Level 4 Hospital, decrying lack of medicine and other critical facilities.

At least three people lost their lives after they were shot dead by police.
23-year-old Amos Nyagah from Ishiara has all reasons to embrace life, and says he is lucky to be alive after a stray bullet grazed his chest amid protests.

Amos told journalists that the moment of relief turned horrorible when he heard his friend cry out just metres away, before he fell silent.
It was at this point that the said friend had been executed by the bullet.
“Niliskia kitu imenigusa… nikahisi kabaridi kwa kifua, ni bahati ya Mungu tu mimi Ndio tegemeo kwetu,” Amos painfully said.
It is however unclear whether Amos was the target in the fatal shooting.
Grief And Agony
