Raila Odinga has now, through a publication on his social media alleged that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is planning to counter Azimio protests, targeting some particular individuals.
Odinga noted that it has come to their attention that Gachagua is planning an operation of mayhem against the Azimio La Umoja protests scheduled to take place tomorrow, Monday 27.
According to Raila, Gachagua has set up an armoury and command centres in two different locations at a house next to The Bomas Of Kenya, ehich Raila says belongs to a former Cabinet Secretary and another on Hillcrest Drive, Nairobi, belonging to a serving Cabinet Secretary.
Odinga further says that the alleged two homes are being stocked with modern and crude weapons such as guns, Pangas and Machets for the alleged ‘Operation.’
Raila says that the weapons are being ferried using a vehicle camouflaged as St. Mary’s Ambulance, and some of the vehicles deployed for the operation are KBQ 721 J, KAZ 232F and KBM 771 Z.
Raila explained that the said crude weapons are being dispatched yo upcountry locations in Western and Nyanza where youths have been booked in hotels and instructed to target specific Azimio leaders.
He further alleged that rebel Azimio Mps from Western and Nyanza have been deployed too and that in Nairobi, Public Service vehicles belonging to Embasava, Zuri and Forward Saccos have been deployed to ferry youths to places such as Johoo Road, kibra, Hyrum, Muthurwa, Kayole, Kariobangi, Korogocho, Mlango Kubwa, Githurai 44 and Githurai 45.
The former Prime minister also alleged that the mission is to target Azimio leaders in Nairobi including Mp Babu Owino, Opiyo Wandayi, Edwin Sifuna, and Jeremiah Kioni among others.
