Mavoko Mp Patrick Makau has been arrested on account of yesterday’s Protests which led to violence along Mombasa Road.
Police officers raided Makau’s residence in Karen at 4AM and took him to the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road.
The violent protests resulted to destruction of property including vandalizing of The Nairobi Expressway at Mlolongo.
Nine people lost their lives, more than 35 others sustaining serious injuries.
Azimio leader Raila Odinga yesterday cancelled Kamukunji rally which had been planned, claiming that there was a planned plot to attack the opposition officials.
Interrior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki warned that there would be arrests of the planners and the financiers of the anti-government protests.
