Meru deputy speaker Mwenda Ali was airlifted to Nairobi for specialised medical care after he was involved in a grissy road accident at Gatunduri, along Embu-Meru Highway in Embu.
His daughter unfortunately perished as two others were seriously injured.
Embu County Commander Nicholas Maina confirmed the sad incident.
The accident involved a Subaru car and a Double Cabin.
After the accident, the Subaru car bursted into flames as the double Cabin Vehicle fell into a river.
The other injured were taken to Tenri Hospital.
