MC Fullstop Passes On

Popular reggae hypeman, MC Fullstop is dead.

Deejay Juan told Tuko.co.ke that the MC had died in hospital.

“He has left us. He was in the hospital,” Juan said.

Originally known as John Maina, the music enthusiast died after a long battle with lung tuberculosis.

He rose to limelight after appearances on TV and reggae shows that were recorded on CDs.

Illness

Fullstop had been sick for a long time, and at one point came out to dismiss viral online news claiming that he had died.

At another point, he had worried his fans after photos of him appearing very weak in a hospital emerged online, many sending him prayers for good health.

In 2023, he had disclosed that the lung TB he was battling resulted in him losing his voice and his left lung.

“Hii imeenda” literally. My left lung has totally collapsed nimebaki na moja. In 2021 i was diagnosed with TB ya lungs ikasosi lungs kabisa. 2022 nikapata TB ya throat nayo ikanimaliza sauti,  Running, walking, kuongea ni shida…” he tweeted.

He also thanked his royal fans who had stood with him, and hinted on stepping from entertainment.

“Alafu lungs zina lungs ufala unlike Liver, haiwezi ji heal itabidi nijipange hapa naona niki hang boots. I just wanna say thanks kwa wale wamekuwa wakini support in this difficult moments God awa bless tu sana,” he added.
