DJ Lastborn has been bedridden after he suffered a stroke about two years ago.
In an interview with Ghetto Radio, Lastborn’s sister Lilian in 2021 said that the second stroke made him lose his speech and also affected his right eye.
“When he first suffered a stroke, he was able to do things on his own, but when it reoccurred, it affected him completely. He could not talk or even feed himself,” she said
Lastborn who was known as a no non-sense guy, always expected his mentees to play and emcee reggae music to perfection. He taught and mentored among others, Selector Technix and Fyah Mummah Jahmby Koikai.
“Many of us from that era, have had our fair share of life lessons and experiences from serious health issues to the evolution of the industry. I pray for grace, strength and God’s guidance,”
“Fare thee well LB. May the Most High God rest your soul in eternal perfect peace,” wrote Fyah Mummah Jahmby.
