Eight lives have been confirmed perished after a 32-seat Matatu they were travelling in plunged into Mbagathi River, near Cooperative University in Karen.
The bus was enroute the Nairobi-Gataka-Ongata Rongai road.
Six people died on the spot while three others died while receiving treatment.
