Inside Raila, Gachagua’s Fallout Puzzle

Political antagonists, Raila Odinga and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua met during the signing of the IEBC ammendment bill on Tuesday, July 9, following the NADCO report.

After concluding his speech, Raila Odinga did not invite DP Rigathi Gachagua to give his remarks, and president Ruto was forced to invite his deputy before giving the final speech.

In a surprising turn of events, Raila and Gachagua were seen in a trending photo, both interacting.

The duo have been criticizing each other in public gatherings, each of them with strict ideologies against the other.

In his speech, president Ruto announced that there will be a dialogue, starting 15th July, involving several sectors, including the youth.

The dialogue will continue for Six days, involving 150 persons.

“As is evident even today, the cost of living is the most important issue. Unless we are in a state of emergency, the police and army should immediately be taken off the streets. All victims of police brutality must be compensated,” Raila Odinga noted.

“Now that the President has agreed to discuss with our young people, I call upon the people of Kenya to give dialogue a chance,” Rigathi Gachagua wrote after the event.

“As Azimio we wanted the matter of the cost of living to be discussed as part of NADCO. Kenya Kwanza insisted “that it was strictly a government affair,” Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka said.
