Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has sent his message of condolences to Ngugi’s family.
“I have learnt with deep sadness the passing on of my longtime friend Professor Ngugi Njoroge.
An industrious academician, Professor Njoroge was a prolific political commentator, who has greatly contributed to educative, informative and insightful discussions on development discourse of our Nation with his razor-edge oratory skills on Inooro FM’s Keera Show and other platforms.
I had a privilege of being hosted by Prof Njoroge on this informative show; we enjoyed quality discussions as was his characteristic.
Indeed, he redefined the role of the media in driving development.
Beyond the profession, Professor Njoroge was profusely humorous, warm and charming.
His nuggets of wisdom will be immensely missed.
Heartfelt condolences to Professor Njoroge’s family, colleagues at the Royal Media Services and Inooro FM, friends and relatives for this big loss.
May his Soul Rest in Peace,” Gachagua wrote.
