Bobi Wine And Edwin Sifuna Denied Entry Into Angola

Ugandan opposition politician Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna have been denied entry into Angola.

Sifuna in a statement on March 13 said that they were denied entry by the Angolan authorities despite having received an official invitation by the Office of the President of UNITA.

“UNITA President Adalberto Costa invited us to Angola. The Government has denied us entry!” he said.

He went ahead to attach an official communication by UNITA.

It read: “We hereby request your good offices in order to obtain a Border visa for you:

1. Sharif Ssenyonjo Najja-A00187000-UGANDA. 2. Cirino Hiteng Ofuho-CK50055 – KENYA. 3. Edwin Watenya Sifuna-BK470090 – KENYA. 4. Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi-C00000266-UGANDA. 5. Oleksandr Omelchuk-FF460687-UKRAINE. 6. Andriy Marasin-GD425678-UKRANIA. 7. Merera Gudina Jefi-EP7711998 – ΕΤΙΟΡΙΑ. They will enter the country tomorrow, March 13, 2025, at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport.The Office of the President of UNITA declares that it is responsible for your stay in Angola.”
