Tension As Decomposing Body Of Young Man Is Retrieved From Parked Car

The Body of a 29 Year-old man was found decomposing inside his personal vehicle parked at KCB Bank Premise in Chuka town.

Onlookers surround the vehicle in which a man’s body was found.

Also, two charcoal jikos were found in the car.

It is suspected that he could have slept and left the jikos burning, resulting to his death due to excessive inhaling of a poisonous gas.

How JiKos Facilitate Death

While charcoal burns inside Jikos, Carbon monoxide (CO), a colorless, odorless gas is released as a byproduct of the reaction between Carbon and Oxygen.

In an event that such a Jiko is placed in a poorly ventilated room or space, the said gas, which is a potent poison, fills the room.

Breathing in too much carbon monoxide kills human beings  because it binds to the red blood cells’ hemoglobin instead of the oxygen, ppreventingbidy’s  organs, especially the brain and heart, from getting the oxygen they need to function.

This leads to suffocation, loss of consciousness, and ultimately, death.
