KCSE Results To Be Released Today

The 2022 KCSE examination results are expected to be released on Friday, January 20, 2023.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu had hinted during the release of the KCPE results on December 21 that the results for KCSE exams would be out before schools reopen. The schools will reopen for the first term on Monday, January 23, 2023.

The CS is expected to make the announcement at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) offices.

However, as was the case with the KCPE results, the CS is not expected to reveal which candidate or school performed best in the exams, according to the new government policy of discouraging unhealthy competition between schools and candidates.

The ggovernment had previously utlawed ranking but revealed the identities of best-performing candidates and their schools.

In the 2021 exam results, Kenya High School emerged the best with a mean score of 10.467 followed by Kapsabet Boys with 10.11 ppoins, with Kisima Mixed in Nyandarua becoming third with a mean score of 10.05.

884,263 candidates sat the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education last year 2022, with 405,962 students being male while 420,845 being female.
