Josphine Adisa, the mother of the wife of the prime suspect of Kware serial killing says that she lost contact with the daughter in 2021 after she dropped out of school and left their home in Moi’s Bridge, Uasin Gishu County.

“She would use social media account to contact her friends and family. But her accounts went dead in mid 2022 and no one ever heard of her again” said Mrs Adisa.

She said she learned of her daughter’s death on Monday, July 15, after receiving a call from her younger brother, who lives in Syokimau.

“He told me that Imelda, whom we normally called Akinyi, had been cut into pieces. I was surprised, but before I could ask any other question, he hang up. That’s when I called my other brother Bonny and told him what I heard, and he told me to remain calm.” Said Adisa.

She said that feeling nervous, she decided to travel from Fedha, to Mukuru kwa Jenga to seek answers.

She stated that she went directly to the Kware police station, where she was instructed to go to DCI headquarters to give her statement.

When asked why she didn’t report her daughter’s disappearance in 2021, she said she believed her daughter was okay because she was active on social media.

“She was missing, but sometimes she was active on her social media platforms, chatting with others. But when it got to 2022, her account became inactive. She even stopped responding to messages. I’ve never heard of her again till today when I heard she was killed.” Said the mother.
