Agony In USA As 67 Perish In Mid-air Plane Crush, With No Survivors

There have been saved zero lives at the scene where an American Airlines regional jet went down in the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport after colliding with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter on Wednesday night, prompting a multi-agency search-and-rescue operation, according to officials.

The fateful plane departed from Wichita, Kansas with 60 passengers and four crew members were on board.

“Those who may have loved ones on the flight can call 800-679-8215,” the airline told journalists.

As of 2 a.m. ET, no survivors had been rescued from the water.

A Man waiting at the airport said that his wife was onboard the doomed plane & texted him before the crash “Landing in 20 minutes!”.


“I’m just praying that someone is pulling her out of the river right now as we speak. I’m just praying to God,” an Emotional Hamaad Raza said.

Russian figure skaters Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov are reported to be among those who were aboard the flight that collided with an Army helicopter late Wednesday.

The pair are listed as professional coaches. Their son, Maxim Naumov, is a competitive figure skater for the U.S.
