Kenya: A burial ceremony which was presided over by Rastafarians turned into a dramatic show as residents of Kiaragana village, Kithimu ward Embu county watched a kind of service they have never experienced.
It was a send-off ceremony of The late Ras Benson Mugambi.

The entire ceremony was conducted in accordance with the Rastafari movement faith that was characterized by ceaseless Rastafari songs, drumming and smoking of substances they infamously refer to as the herb.

In one instance, the grave site was flooded with water in remembrance of “our forefathers who have died.”

The Cross
The grieving mourners were slapped with shock of a metallic cross which was preffered by the Rastafarians, contrary to the ordinary wooden crosses used in other burials.
