Lionel Messi has been rewarded with the golden ball in the FIFA World cup 2022. This comes after leading Argentina to victory over France.

Messi also revealed that he was sure he would win the cup.
“It’s simply unbelievable. I knew that God was going to give me the Cup, I was sure — it was a big joy for us”, Messi said.
“I had this big dream since long time, I wanted to close my career with World Cup. I can’t ask more than this”, added the superstar.
Apart from this year, Messi has also won the golden ball in the years; 2018, 2014, 2010, 2006 and 2002.
