Azimio La Umoja Tram today took their rally to Kamukunji Nairobi.
Among their core pledges, is the resignation of President William Ruto and his officials.
In their message to their followers, the Azimio leaders, led by Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Martha Karua urged the followers to reject Ruto’s Regime.
“Tukatae kabisa na tuseme enough is enough. Sote tunasema Ruto must go. Hiyo matisho yake tukatae, tushikane kama wakenya tukomboe nchi yetu,” said Martha Karua
The Coalition further complained of high cost of living, which they claimed is rising despite Kenya Kwanza, during campaigns promising to lower it.
Raila also attacked William Ruto over tax collection, claiming that Ruto is overdoing the exercise, following the government’s move to enforce the payment of tax by every Kdnyan.
“Leave Mama Ngina Kenyatta alone, leave Uhuru alone. Let KRA do it’s work. Do not politicize the work of the agency. Even in the bible, Zachayo the tax collector was not doing the things you are doing,” Raila alleged.
The Azimio’s Principal recently said that Azimio does not recognise Ruto as the President of Kenya.
The coalition however is facing a difficult era as most of it’s allies, among them Governors have been boycotting important meetings and rallies.
Among close allies who have seemingly ditched Azimio are Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o and Siaya Governor James Orengo.
