Kenyans have expressed dissatisfaction after marathoner Eliud Kipchoge failed to show up in Kelvin Kiptum’s burial ceremony.
In the February 23 event which was also attended by President William Ruto, Kipchoge was not seen.
Also, there was no representative or any written presentation to show Kipchoge’s involvement in the burial, despite several athletes gracing the event.
Kipchoge had earlier received online blame shortly after the death of the champion who had broken a record which Kipchoge had been holding.
However, Kipchoge took to social media to send his condolences due to the sudden death.
A clip had also emerged showing Kipchoge, in an international media conference, saying that he was comfortable whith his record being broken, and that “it is the beauty of sport”
