How Eliud Kipchoge Is Preparing To Break Major World Record

Historically, no one has ever won three consecutive Olympic Games gold medals in the marathon discipline.

Ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games scheduled to start in July, Kipchoge is one of the favourites.

The runner who is regarded as one of the greatest marathon runners of all time became the 2016 and 2020 Olympic champion.

He was also the World record holder in the marathon from 2018to 2023, with a time of 2:01:09 which was recorded at the 2022 Berlin Marathon, before the record was broken by Kelvin Kiptum at the 2023 Chicago Marathon with a time of 2:00:35.

Kelvin Kiptum however died in 2024 following a grisly road accident. The champion died together with his Rwandese coach Garvais Hakizamana.
