Mr Evans Kosgei who worked as a Night guard killed his wife over allegations of infidelity.
According to reports, thr wife had an intention to ditch Evans Even after paying for her Murang’a University fees.
Kosgei and the wife, identified as Jackline began dating in high school. Their love was so strong that no one could come between them, not even their parents.
Their relationship however faced a significant challenge when Jackline became pregnant, which angered her father, and later disowned her.
Evans decided to step up and support her, despite the tides from the parents side and the duo moved in together, still being teenagers, and committed to raising their child. Evans took a job as night guard to fend for his wife and unborn child.
After the birth of their child, Evans sold his sheep, parcel of land, and some trees to pay for her school fees in Muranga University, where she pursued a Bachelor of Education degree and eventually graduated.
However, later, reports indicates that Jackline started cheating with two other men, Stanley Ndegua and Shadrack Kiprop.
Shadrack further became the primary “side guy.” With Jackline having pursued higher education and Evans remaining a high school graduate, their dynamic shifted, and Evans felt inadequate.
Evans forgave Jackline’s infidelity multiple times and pleaded for her to stop but she continued dating Shadrack, and both started planning a life.
Jackline later left Evans and their daughter to be with him Shadrack.
It’s reported that Jackline’s father, who had disowned her, approved of her relationship with Shadrack and even advised Evans to leave them alone, as Shadrack was providing for them financially.
This betrayal would frustrate Evans emotionally and mentally, and on 9th March, Evans would Murder Jackline in cold blood and tweet about his actions.
Evans threatened to commit suicide and was later found hanging on a tree, days after going missing.
