Eric Omondi Announces Retirement From Comedy

Self proclaimed President of Comedy Africa Eric Omondi hinted at leaving comedy, saying that laughing time is over and that current challenges have to be addressed.

“I started doing comedy in 2003. I came to meet Churchill in 2008 and he really helped me. I have entertained people for 16 years through comedy. It is enough. Laughing time is over. When you go through primary school, secondary school and college, can you go back to primary? We are not laughing now. We are going to the next level,” said the funnyman.

“People are suffering and it’s not a laughing matter. I don’t belong to any political outfit. God has given me a voice and a platform,” Eric added.
