Controversial Gospel musician Justina Syokau was lost in tears as she sobbed while expressing the pain of being trolled by Kenyans especially on social media, following the release of her new song, ‘Twedi Twedi Thili’ whose video premiered on YouTube on December 27, 2022.
“2023 ni mwaka wa mavuno. 2023 ni mwaka wa kupanuliwa. 2023 I am taking over, 2023 ni mwaka wa mapato,” part of the song’s lyrics unveils.
Majority of her critics have been cought by the ‘Kupanuliwa’ part, as the slang meaning of the part is being though for in a sexual meaning while the literal meaning is ‘being expanded’.
This prompted SSyokauto have a sudden emotional outburst as she spoke to journalists, wondering how critics only dwelt on the slang meaning of ‘kupanuliwa’.
“Kuhusu kupanuliwa ahhh… wakati watu wanaongea pale nje kuhusu kupanuliwa, wale watu hawako kiroho ndo hawaelewi the word kupanuliwa ni nini. Mtu ambaye ako kwa mwili ata ukimuelezea kupanuliwa na kumwagiwa baraka na Mungu yeye mind yake inaenda mbali lakini mimi niliimba wimbo nkiwa rohoni. Nlikua studio nko ribaha ndelebo (speaks in tongues),” Justina Syokau clarified.
The singer, while sobbing also alleged that Kenyans don’t want to see her do better.
“Nashindwa kwa nini hamntakii mazuri, kwa nini hamtaki kuona nkiendelea? Nkiimba furahieni”, she said.aka niwafanyie nini watu wa Kenya? I am struggling, I am praying every day to get content to put across there. I am begging you to give me jobs.. Munaendelea kunitusi,” She said as she broke into tears.
